Grant Jung
Grant Jung

Grant is a Solo who works primarily for the local Fixer, Rex. Professionally, he goes by the handle Royal. Grant’s room is paid for as part of the building’s yearly payment to Rex that keeps the building safe from the area’s many boostergangs who would love to terrorize it. Rex has made it known far and wide that Royal lives in the apartment building, and that information alone is a great deterrent. Despite his reputation, Grant isn’t a bad neighbor to have. When he isn’t running jobs for Rex, Grant loves to unwind by playing cards. Every month, he organizes a community poker night on the roof of the building. Bets are made exclusively in mini liquor bottles. Nobody cheats. Grant doesn’t like people standing behind him, and his eyes reflexively scan any room he enters. Even when relaxing, he doesn’t like to take his armor off, except behind his apartment’s specially installed reinforced door. He won’t talk about it with anyone who wouldn’t understand.

Dr. Carver
Dr. Carver

Dr. George Carver is the owner of the apartment complex and the one that has a direct line of contact with Rex. Living here and being closer to the “action” also allowed Dr. Carver to set up a second source of income for himself, an unlicensed surgery ward for illegal cyberware, colloquially referred to as a [[Ripperdoc]]. George isn’t a medical doctor, but he knows his way around machines, which lets him get by, as most of his patients are more machine than human. He spends most of the day sleeping, as every night he works in a high–stress environment and he needs to stay fresh. To drown out the ambient sounds of gunfire, Rico’s guitar, and Rico the cockatoo’s squawking, Dr. Carver lined his walls with sound–dampening foam, which has helped him get a lot more sleep. The foam also keeps the screaming of his patients to a minimum, which helps the rest of the apartment get more sleep. It’s a win–win.

NPC
Haruko
Haruko

Sakamoto Haruko 5'5, a little chubby. Thick-rimmed circle glasses cover most of her round face. Her brown hair is cut to level with her chin, and usually kept partially back in a high ponytail. Prefers simple make-up since it requires less effort -- she usually rushes it so she can get back to working on her latest project. The only tattoo she has is on her left arm, the kanji for her mum's name with the day of her death (Haru's date of birth). There's a streak of blue in her hair that Miyuki convinced her to get. Her entire right arm has been replaced with an obvious mechanical one that has been thoroughly customised. Spray-painted with mundane and UV paint, the arm is a bright, colourful mess. Different designs make it look like a sleeve tattoo. When under a UV light, such as in a club, new designs appear across the entire thing in glowing colours.

Barbara

Barbara Kwashi She was born into a large, low-income family, with her parents, grandparents, and five siblings huddled together in a small apartment. Unfortunately, her father had a gambling problem. With his violent temper, the rest of the family feared confronting him. Her older siblings moved out as soon as they could, her grandparents eventually passed away, and her mother--now tired of her father-- found someone else and moved out, leaving a young Hatty behind. Her father eventually lost the house, taking his remaining daugher with him to live on the streets on the outskirts of Night City. She spent much of her childhood roaming aimlessly without supervision, living in a long since abandoned camper van, and learnt to fight fiercely for everything she had. At some point, she managed to get her hands on a Cyberdeck, and that Cyberdeck became her world. Unfortunately, feelings of abandonment and resentment left a mark on Hatty, eventually bearing a young woman that withdrew from society and indulged in Virtuality. Although she often dealt with Nomads and Fixers for work, she never truly connected with anyone. Despite her ornery and somewhat violent disposition, she hadn't offended anyone enough to make any enemies. Her straightforwardness and blunt honesty, however, made her a reliable Netrunner, giving her value as a freelancer.
